Your waitlist, running before your next customer.
Walk-ins and bookings in one fair line — everyone knows who's next. Customers wait wherever they like and watch their place move on their own phone. No sales call, no hardware, no training.

Three steps, one sitting
- 1
Name your place
One short form. Pick the kind of business you run and we set up the line, the chairs or bays or counters, and a starting menu of services with realistic timings.
- 2
Print the poster
A ready-made QR poster comes out of the dashboard. Put it on the door or the counter — that is the whole of your customer-facing setup.
- 3
Take your first customer
Open the console on the phone already in your pocket. Add someone at the counter, or let them scan and add themselves.
Nothing to install, on either side. Your customers use a web page; you use the browser you already have.
The part that is hard is deciding who is next
Everyone knows who's next.
A queue is easy until somebody with a booking walks in behind four people who have been waiting twenty minutes. Most software leaves that to whoever is on the desk, which means the answer changes with the person and the mood.
WaitNook holds part of each period for bookings, releases a slot to walk-ins when a booking does not show, and drops a late arrival a set number of places from the front rather than at the head of the line. You choose those numbers per line, once, and they hold all day — so the answer is the same whoever is on the desk, and you can explain it to the person asking.
What you get
Lines that match the room
More than one line per site, and a line per chair, bay, counter or person. Somebody waiting for one particular member of staff waits behind that person's line, not everybody's.
Services with real timings
A menu with expected durations, and a wait estimate that learns from what actually happened rather than a flat number per head.
Bookings in the same line
Take appointments, hold capacity for them, and put them into the same line as walk-ins when their window opens. One console, one queue.
A screen for the room
Open a web address on any TV or spare tablet to show who is being served, with an optional chime when somebody is called.
People who are not standing there
Customers get a link to watch their place from anywhere, and an email when it is their turn. Your check-in page works in English, Spanish and Canadian French.
Numbers worth having
Busiest hours, how long people really waited, no-shows, walk-aways, and how your sites compare. Exportable as a spreadsheet.
Pricing, without a phone call
Free is a real plan, not a trial. The whole queue runs on it at one site, with no cap on how many people you serve.
Free
$0
One site, unlimited check-ins, the whole queue, email notifications, two people on the team.
Micro
$19/month
One site, five people, and a monthly allowance of text messages.
Basic
$49/month
Five sites, fifteen people, a larger message allowance, and the API and webhooks.
Premium
$99/month
Unlimited sites and people, and the largest message allowance.
Paid annually, you pay for ten months rather than twelve. Change or cancel whenever you like.
Text messaging is not switched on yet. Carrier registration is under way, and until it clears every plan notifies by email — which is why the free plan has no message allowance and never will. We will not bill anyone for texts before they can be sent.
Questions people ask
- Do my customers need to download anything?
- No. They scan the poster or follow a link, and the page opens in whatever browser their phone already has. There is no app and no account.
- What do I need to buy?
- Nothing. It runs on the phone in your pocket, and the screen for the room is any TV or tablet with a browser. No kiosk, no ticket printer.
- Can I cancel?
- Whenever you like, and nothing you have set up is deleted if you do. You drop to the free plan and the queue keeps running.
- Do you send text messages?
- Not yet. Carrier registration for text messaging is in progress. Today every plan notifies customers by email and gives them a live page they can watch, which is what most people leave open while they wait.
- What languages does it work in?
- Everything your customers see — checking in, watching their place, the screen in the room — is in English, Spanish and Canadian French. The staff console is English.
